Job Description

Our client, one of the worlds leading investment banks, is seeking an experience MIS and Data Analyst to join one the largest programmes they have ever run. This role sits within an ambitious multi-year initiative sponsored by the banks senior finance team with visibility at Board level. It is the largest and most ambitious Programme the banks finance division has embarked upon and involves multi disciplinary teams, including Finance, IT and Risk This particular streams goal is to deliver significant reductions in the number and size of manual interventions by Finance staff and in the number of Finance systems through the application of lean process engineering methodology. Also to provide the core metrics for the programme, including the allocation of targets to the other workstreams and subsequent monitoring of progress towards these targets. Responsibilities: * Co-ordinate and participate in the production of standardised reports for the programme and business stakeholders * Define the reporting standards with the metrics lead and stakeholders * Produces standardised and ad-hoc reports and presentations using metrics and outcomes data * Manages 2 Cognos Developers The successful applicant will possess strong data mining and warehousing skills. Without this experience you will not be considered. Strong Cognos experience and advanced skills in financial analysis review, interpretation, processing, reconciliation, validation, accounting are also required.
